Synopsis

Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen's play Hedda Gabler dramatize an young woman's thrust for luxurious life leading to tragic death. Much against her wishes Hedda Gabler marries academic George Tesman, in an attempt to hide her immoral pregnancy. The couples meet their ex-lovers Eilert Lövborg and Thea Elvsted. In an attempt to sidelines Eilert's academic progress, George burns literary works of him. Getting blackmailed by Judge Brack on account of her crime against Eilert, Hedda suicides.
