Synopsis

2 B R 0 2 B is a science fiction short story by Kurt Vonnegut and the title is derived Hamlet's dialogue "To be or not to be". Down the years human defeats ageing process and a society with out death has evolved. Births and deaths are controlled by government and for every birth one has to die volunteerly. A man whose wife is about deliver triplets need three volunteers to die, only his grandfather is ready to die. However he kills himself before shooting the hospital doctor and the government official who came to complete the birth process.
